Sunderland Samaritans offer confidential support to anyone passing through a crisis or thinking of taking their own lives.

We offer time and space for people to express their feelings, helping them to talk through their options and find a way to face the future. We are not a religious or political organisation. We listen, we don’t judge and we don’t offer advice. Samaritan volunteers talk to callers 365 days a year on the phone, by email or face to face.

We are located Stockton Road, on the outskirts of Sunderland town centre. If you’re in need of our support, you can visit our branch between the hours of 9am and 10pm for a face-to-face drop-in, Tuesday to Sunday (local branch is closed on Mondays).

Alternatively, you can telephone or email anytime, 24 hours a day, throughout the year.
